Bellevue University was founded as Bellevue College in 1966 by Bill Brooks and his Chamber of Commerce colleagues in Bellevue, Nebraska. Since then, the school has expanded and established itself as one of the worldwide leaders in adult education, serving more than 11,000 students annually at 12 locations in five states - and everywhere online, through its award-winning online learning platform. Bellevue University was one of the first accredited institutions to offer online degree programs, in 1996, and the first to offer a Master of Business Administration degree online. Today, students can earn bachelor and master degrees in more than 30 fields, from Adult Education to Clinical Counseling, Security Management, and Web Technologies, in a convenient, flexible environment that supplies the rich and interactive learning experience for which the University's known.

The University has developed an award-winning online classroom with easy-to-follow links for students to attend class for assignments and lectures on your schedule, discuss lessons with instructors, conduct research at the online library, and receive support from services like the writing center and study center.
