The mission of Everglades University is to provide quality education to adult learners of diverse backgrounds in a collaborative environment where each individual has the opportunity to achieve personal growth. Small class sizes offer students the opportunity to achieve their educational goals in a supportive, compassionate, and professional environment. Undergraduate students take one class at a time over a one month time period. Taking one class at a time promotes concentration in each individual subject. Graduate students can complete one or two classes within a two month time period.

    The Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology provides a wide range of specialized aviation courses coupled with solid general education and management courses. Credit may be earned by FAA certificates and ratings in Air Traffic Control, Aviation Maintenance, Flight Operations, Dispatch Operations and/or Military Aviation Operations.

    The Bachelor of Science Degree in Crisis and Disaster Management provides students with a broad based knowledge of crisis and disaster management combined with a general education foundation and business and management applications. Courses include, but are not limited to Emergency Preparedness and Response; Disaster Management Technology; Relationship Management; Crisis and Disaster Psychology; Human Resource Management; Hazardous Materials Emergency Response; Disaster Health Management; and Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism. Emphasis is placed on communication skills, global awareness, management skills, critical thinking, theory, planning, management, response, relief, recovery and specific cases associated with public emergencies, disasters, and catastrophes. Included in the curriculum are natural, technical, and human-induced crises. Graduates of this program will be prepared for productive management careers in the crisis and disaster management environment.
