FAQs About Georgia Military College

Is Georgia Military College Only for Military?

No, the college does not only accept military members. According to its website, it accepts all veterans, military service members, and their families to enroll in their programs. Among the 12,000 students who enroll annually, only 250 students attend GMC’s college cadet program.

Initially called the Middle Georgia Military and Agricultural College, it used to be a college preparatory school. In 1900, it was changed to GMC, and later, in 1930, a junior college division was added to the college, making it an official higher education institution and justifying its name.

Is Georgia Military College Online?

Is Georgia Military College a 4-Year School?

Is Georgia Military College a Good School?

GMC holds legitimacy by having accreditation. Unfortunately, many prospective online students can be scammed by diploma mills that award illegitimate degrees without value. When a school has accreditation, it has met the requirements to deliver undergraduate and graduate degrees that can be used for further education or to seek employment.

GMC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s and doctorate degrees, and certificates.

At OnlineU, we only include accredited online colleges and universities on our site.

What Is Georgia Military College Known For?

In addition, active duty or reservist students may be eligible for GMC’s Military Service Member Scholarship.

Accelerated Online Terms

At GMC, online students can finish courses in half the time with accelerated online terms. GMC offers five-term starts each school year, letting students complete their associate degrees in a year and a half.

EdAssist

To provide affordable tuition, GMC has partnered with EdAssist by Bright Horizons to offer high quality and lower-cost degrees to eligible employees and their families. This program allows employees and their immediate family members to enroll in one of GMC’s degree programs at a discounted tuition rate and they waive the application fees.
