Independence University is the first and premiere college to offer accredited Respiratory Therapy programs at a distance. They offer more health-care programs at a distance than any other private accredited college or university.

Independence University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Our Associate's in Respiratory Care program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Independence University is the first and only college to offer accredited Respiratory Therapy programs at a distance. The university is also a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. This accreditation, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education's Secretary of Education, qualifies students for reimbursement and to sit for licensure. Independence University is also approved to offer students federal financial aid to those who qualify.
