Overview
Our Lady of the Lake University is a private, Catholic University in San, Antonio Texas. An extremely small school, it is also somewhat selective- admitting only 49% of its applicants. Only a very small percentage of students are out-of-state students, but the student body is still ethnically diverse, with approximately 60% of its undergraduate students identifying themselves as Hispanic. In terms of gender, the school is much less diverse, as 73% of its student body is female. The college offers both undergraduate and graduate programs.

    Students who are seeking the Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University can choose from either the Advanced Standing Program or the Regular Standing Program. Students will be required to take Research Based courses that help them develop essential research skills, as well as a wide range of distinct courses like Violence Prevention and Intervention, Child Welfare, Sociology of Aging, Psychopathology, Human Behavior, and a course that will lead them to write a thesis in social work. Students will also be placed in field education positions that will help them earn some practical work experience.
