The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison is at the vanguard of a new paradigm uniting public health and medicine. Student Appeal
The school offers a distance learning option that enables students to stay in their home communities while completing Physician Assistant education. This makes the program more accessible, especially for students from rural, urban, and under-served communities. Students are also able to immerse in deep clinical experience, completing 90% of the education in their home community. The curriculum emphasizes population/public health, evidence based medicine, genetics, family medicine, cultural competency, rural health, and clinical research methods, lending graduates impressive credentials.
